Map Name : Sanctorium

Type : Tourney

I'm still unsure how much time I will be able to dedicate to this however I am still willing to at least make an attempt :)

QL : Download
Q3 : Download

Description :
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The intentions were to create a balanced map that focused on the players' abilities to control their movements. Therefor, there should be a greatly reduced amount of sneaking since both players will be constantly running after the major items or cutting each others out.

The maps offer plenty of routes, however most of these routes require a great amount of precision, in most cases, well placed shots can change the entire game to a player that felt the risk was low enough.

Due to the spacing and overall map geometry, the railgun was orginally supposed to be removed however since it removing it also prevented a few interresting gameplay approaches to occur if caught off-guard, it has been left in the map with a little twist.

I severely suggest to only watch the video if you do not plan on trying the map or if you have already tried the map since it might break the fun of testing the grounds all by yourself.

Week 7 :

Not much this week, another project is currently eating my time. I am still worried about the size of the map, I wanted something a little bit slower like the campground classic but it might still be a little bit too huge or flat. I am unsure exactly what I will do yet.

Week 8 :

Currently scratching some part of my original designs which might be a little bit risky, however I have a good feeling that this will incredibly upgrade the current map flow.

Week 9 :

Finished most of the exterior arts and I have to say that I am currently quite pleased with the results, I actually thought about a few extra details that were completely worth it.

I was also starting to lose confidence over the duel map due to the lack of sneaking opportunities but I realized that it simply promote another kind of gameplay that I like even more so we are all good :P.

I now pretty much consider the map finished beside one small part of the map that I am still unsure what I will do with it, so everything added in the upcoming weeks will be small polishes which is still exciting since most of the great stuff often appear during that period :P

Of course there is also the regions and sponsor billboards that will have to be included at the same time.

Week 11 :

Well, I thought it was pretty much done the past week or so but some drastic changes took places in a few areas. I am now considering the map "done".

I will upload a playable version somewhere before next week. I still have to make sure that everything is supported in Q3.

Week 12 :

Update :

Due to several reasons including the lack of support of a few formats, a release of the map for Q3A will not be available. I might still change it later on so that it works on both QL and Q3 however for now, I will keep it as it is since it would require creating a second version of the map.

Images, Map and extra details will be available soon.

Thanks,
