Welcome. I'm new in mapping, too. I'm gona to make industrial themed map from nuclear powerstation (maybe the Simpson's Springfield inspiration? )... Posted first screenshot from editor at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=17479.

 Re: mhjtourney2 by Martin Eriksson
Hey to you o/ Nice to see new faces. From your screenshot I would recommend you to higher the ceiling. If someone rocketjumps he will definitely bump into the sky which is odd. Also, from my perspective point of view, a good height for the second/mid floor is around 320 (?smth like that) units, or a bit less which is a maximum height for a perfect rocketjump. Just to bear that in mind. Other comments to this topic are welcome. Have a nice time around here =)

 Re: mhjtourney2 by Martin Eriksson
hi, thanks for the input ye ceiling height is kinda temp, will make details higher than where the sky is atm, just wanted to make it playable as fast as possible for an early alpha test.

 Re: mhjtourney2 by Martin Eriksson
Thanks noticed that i was starting with the details too early. the layout had some flaws, some dead ends and stuff, but i have some ideas that could turn out pretty well i think

 Re: mhjtourney2 by Martin Eriksson
First of all... forget what I told you about the height. I played some qlive recently and mid lvl was normally at half of a max RJheight. I already like the texture choice!

 Re: mhjtourney2 by Martin Eriksson
The dead end turned out as a room with four escape routes, a yellow armor, some shards and health and a gun, think it worked out pretty well, think i'll have a beta up soon. will do some more testing with friends first. week 3 secret word in the new room: Attachment:
