After a short talk to cityy, here is a new alpha. it has some minor changes to the layout itself and Duel and teamdm(ffa) have now seperate itemlayouts. ty cityy =) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/83083336/knc4_dm_alpha2.pk3have fun with it, and suggestions are welcome

Looks nice  RA room is a bit flat and square, and i rly miss a gun in there, i would also like lg ammo a bit closer to quad, but maybe thats just me being lazy other than that it looks nice to me, even tho i get lost all the time so far  rly like the glass shader btw !

Looks good so far, the connectivity is certainly good. Feels like you have a lot of long, open lines of sight. This will make rail gun very powerful on this map. You may want to put it in a spot where it is tough to get. On top of a stack of boxes, or just in an out of the way area. Speaking of boxes, the box route up to the RA is a little tough to jump up. Perhaps this was the intention? In any case, the map looks fast and fun

Thank you all for the feedback. And yes, thex boxroute is supposed to be tought, but good you mention it, because someone else thought it was too easy, dont know exactly what i´ll do there. I changed the itemlayout (tdm) a little, and cut off some of the lines of sight and enlarged it therefor on some other places. quite unsure about the new rocketlauncher area, because it feels a bit off and the ra area with all these nice weapons in it. Lets look how the changes work out. and of cause, word of the week screenshot, and some progress, not much tho =) Attachment:

so here is alpha4. Only switched plasma+mh and enlarged areas , and also finaly could remove some of the boxes. \:D/ Suggestions are as always welcome. gl hf with alpha4 https://dl.dropbox.com/u/83083336/knc4_dm_alpha4.pk3now the the file is updated and everything should be included. thx for the suggestions czghost, will think about the item suggestions.

There is one large issue: missing textures, see screenshot... These missing textures are proceeding in whole area, must be solved:  You have also ommited visible void. If the player have r_clear disabled (normal play doesn't allow enabling that cvar) it looks like it's solid. But with r_clear enabled it shows that ugly pink color... It's not too big issue, but the cheaters with r_clear enabled may welcome issue repair... Or stay it here and tell cheaters by this they have to play normaly   Wow, looks like there's an empty place. Could you fill it with any pickup item?  There pobably was Wacom Wireless secret word. Put it back here and it will be okay...  The railings are a bit unrealistic without some vertical sticks:  The same as the third screenshot: Put here any pickup item...  There's some unrealistic invisible walls or something you cannot see, but also cannot walk though. Both left and right wall corners have a clip instead of simple solid wall and there's some patch or something like this with missing texture. Putting here solid wall brush and fill up the missing texture will help.

Just from the screens: download/file.php?id=594&mode=viewIF you can go up here you should place at least a broken light doing some flickering stuff download/file.php?id=592&mode=viewMaybe add some bigger lights, to get a more realistic feel to it?
