Stairs have nothing to do with cliping its the unit size you made them something like 16 units tall when "normal" for q3 is 8 units. Like this you cant jump off them properly, nor can you do double-jumps/stair-jumps.

About your reply. Look at Toxicity in QL or Revolution in Q3 (both are the same map). It's all but smooth and it was designed for CPM-Gameplay. But if you are designing for vq3/osp the stairs are still too steep, you cant move on them properly imo. 4 units more and you would have to jump to get from one stair-step to the other.

Allright if you think so, it's your map and you can do what you want, I only wanted to point out a (imo) flaw in your actual design, it's your decision to listen and think about it or to ignore my advise and to do it your (proven) way.

Nice map. I like the architecture and colours : )
As for the gameplay:
The layout/size seems to be more fitting for ffa or tdm modes, not really for 1v1. You could keep the option for 1v1 though, but then it might be a good idea to keep quad and holdable teleporter only for ffa/tdm and replace them with something else for 1v1.
And another note about the items -having 3 x 50 heath or 6 x 25 on one spot doesn't make any sense / I suppose this is a bug and you actually wanted to put small 5h bubbles instead of those ?

There's something wrong with the stairs, it feels like if there was a ramp clip over them? I suggest you keep them as stairs or replace with ramp , but not use this 'combination' of the two :p
And about the railing on the top floor - maybe if you made it slightly lower and with square clip over the round top, it would be possible to jump on it without losing speed and reach the quad pillar in the middle.

One more thing -I really like the design of the doors, but I'm having this small visual glitch there- when standing in the middle of open doors the others in sight seems to disappear. Did you put 'areaportal' brushes inside them? If so, maybe they are too thick. But I think you could possibly leave them out completely unless you really need them.

Lol, didn't you get our converation above, this is his super duper 1337 way to do 16 units stairs that are exactly as high as 8 unit ones and do feel soo much better than the ones that are actually 8 units. *Irony off*

I like the layout, but the Item-Placement makes little to no sence at some places (placing ammo boxes in the middle of a hallway or the 6x25 bubles) and the spawns are a bit too open I think, also the scale feels a bit big but this could be a good thing aswell.

Thanks for the input . I hadnt checked the health befor I compiled the map last
night .I didnt realize I made those particulare ones 25h instead of 5h. I suppose
thats the point of having others check things out. As fare as the Quad Damage goes
,it was my intention that one would have to rocket jump to get it. If you want it
your going to have to pay for it. Yes the railings are clipped but not flat on top.
The top is 3 sided.

Sorry if I dig out this discussion again, but the stairs are weird. Cause of the triangled clipbrushes you always hop a bit into the air when you leave the stair.
