Maximus Overdrive (Quake 3 Team Arena CTF)
This is my first publicly released map for Quake 3. It`s a large space CTF map designed exclusively for the Team Arena expansion, and is geared towards more advanced players. The design is based off q3dm19, "Apocalypse Void", though some people from Quake Live may call it "Terminal Heights". It also has influences from Vortex Portal.

The map supports CTF and all Team Arena gametypes, including One Flag CTF, Harvester, and Overload. There is a bot file included, but they don`t play exceptionally well I have to (sadly) admit. They do an excellent job defending the base, but as for attacking, not so much. I`d like to thank DanielPharos from the QuArK forums for helping create and send the botfile to me when everything else failed. Sorry about it not being so good, but of course that`s not your fault.

This map took around 2 - 3 months to create, and about another 2 months doing some refining and fixes. Hopefully all this work has paid off in the end.

I plan to participate in the next NoGhost Mapping Competition for Quake 3, when it begins. I`m pretty excited, mainly because if I do well, I can get my map onto Quake Live. That`d be pretty awesome. Only problem is trying to find ideas for a layout.

Enjoy! :)
