Nice textures sir. Wondering if you did some of them from scratch!?

Thanks!

Some of them are photos from cgtextures and some of them are rendered from models.

I think the textures look really great and I'd love to know how you make your rock texture, but I think that they could use some more contrast, some of them look more like just diffuse maps and are lacking some harsher highlight and shadow.

jumpad with model and texture.

and here some progress on the map layout.

Kaz: those rock textures are just images from cgtexture that I've modified quite a lot, I will see how they fit in once I got more stuff built and then have another go at the textures and do color and contrast tweaks and so on.

InsaneKid: thanks!

The layout seems to be nice, but too simple tbh. Maybe consider adding something more to it?

yeah it looks pretty simple and open from this shot. I am in the progress to rebuild and simplyfy the level so the -vis process will work. Once I got that down i'm gonna fill in these empty spaces with models so what you see here it's not the actual ingame walls it's just the -vis blocking walls.

for example this whole area closest to the screen will be built with rock walls and grass ground.

but I can see how this looks as open spaced rail fest and it probably came off as a bit confusing but I wanted to post a weekly update just to keep in check with the new weeks texture names and that stuff

while these shots are nice, and intended to be descriptive, but i'm still not seeing anything.

i mean, i can see the detail/architecture, but it's hard. the shading is missing, or something. the background architecture looks flat at first glance. hard to explain.

i like the first screenshot, where it's somewhat birds eye view outside the box. :)

It's just the layout; blocking out and stuff. And we think we perfectionized it, now. Now comes the fun part... finding textures... actually I hate this part, but love using the textures afterwards.
The concept is well in the head. I hope we can do it, till the deadline. The hope dies last :D

we have started on the details

this is a shot for our terrain, we just got it ingame so it's a bit rusty and no vertex coloring yet.

How do you share and divide information and work?
Me and Cityy noted that Google Docs are great for this kind of work.
I haven't tried it yet, but dropbox might be a good thing too, like some kind of svn-mini.
