Thanks for the heads up cityy - I hadn't looked at that in forever

Skin: I know what you're saying, I think it looks clean but also that I've seen it before (amethyst7's e8 geocomp map) or that it's just not very unique. One possibility is either switching to another color, which wouldn't be too hard, or I could just use the textures as placeholders and then replace them with my own unique set later on, although I'm not sure about that given the time constraints. I'll play around some and see what I come up with.

I'm not a fan of the change to blue. The map is too "cold" now.

I think a muddy yellow (a darker yellow green) would be a better replacement. If you're trying to go for a cold color theme than perhaps a turquoise replacement?

I'm just not feelin the current blue being used :P

Hm strange, skinmaster...
I was refering to this:

Quote:
These Textures are designed to be used in Quake3/UT level creation. They are available to download for free to the public as long as I'm credited and they are not used for some kind of profit operation, competitions, mods,tc's etc. My permission has to be sought in order to use them for something more than amateur work or personal enjoyment.

@ Kaz: I like blue.. :) you just need some sneaky cool details to sell it right! You could aswell not use a night skybox so the blue doesn't make the map appear that cold.

Be careful not to add too many light sources. Ct3dm4 had tons of lights and it kinda ruined things..

Had to remove a few off-topic posts. Let's try to keep this a drama- and off-topic free area, ok?

The fern and ivy looks somehow wrong if it is underwater base. I would rather think of clean, sterile place in that case.
